About Artisan Cycle Workshop

I founded Artisan Cycle Workshop based on precision, discipline, and a genuine passion for cycling. Before entering the cycle industry, I spent 13 years serving as an aircraft engineer in the Army, working on Apache helicopters. As a passionate cyclist and triathlete too, I also understand the demands us riders place on our equipment. My goal is to ensure yours performs exactly as it should, every time you ride.


An artisan in the British Army is a highly skilled tradesperson responsible for building, repairing and maintaining infrastructure and equipment all over the world. In aviation, there is no room for guesswork — every component, tolerance, and torque setting matters. Safety, reliability and attention to detail are non-negotiable.  This South Beds cycle repair shop will never be about volume or rushed jobs, it’s about doing things properly, the “Artisan” way. 


When I left the army and moved into the cycle industry, I took the same engineering mindset with me. Today, I’m a qualified cycle mechanic with industry experience who is comfortable servicing bikes for all terrains and riding styles, and specialises in road and time trial bikes.  Whether it’s a routine service, a full strip-down or a performance-focused setup, every bike is treated with the same care and systematic approach.

The Artisan Cycle workshop has been purpose built for my passion working on bikes and is kitted out all the tools required to carry out most standard repair and maintenance work. 


We are fully insured for complete peace of mind, and security is a top priority. All customers' bikes are secured with security-rated locks and floor anchoring systems while in our care.

Bronze service (tune up)

•Full safety check which covers:

  • Brakes 

  • Gears

  • Tyre condition & pressure

  • Bolt torque check 

• Minor brake & gear adjustments 

• Full drivetrain inspection

Silver service (annual MOT)

From £90

The Artisan Cycle Workshop Silver service includes:

• Bronze service

• Drivetrain clean

• Cassette, chain & chainrings cleaned 

• Bottom bracket & headset health check 

• Wheel hub play inspection 

• Full frame clean

• Brake & gear performance tune

Gold Service (overhaul)

The Artisan Cycle Workshop Gold service includes: 

• Complete Silver service

• Full bike strip-down

• Deep drivetrain clean & re-grease 

• Headset service 

• Bottom bracket removed, cleaned & greased (if possible) 

• New inner cables
