I'm Kyle, a qualified cycle mechanic and the owner of Artisan Cycle Workshop. Prior to my journey in the cycling industry, I honed my skills for 13 years as an aircraft engineer in the British Army, specifically working on Apache helicopters. This background has influenced my approach to bike mechanics — emphasizing precision, discipline, and meticulous attention to detail. Today, my primary expertise lies in servicing and maintaining road, gravel, and time-trial bikes, ranging from everyday performance models to custom builds and race bikes. I am well-versed in modern electronic groupsets, hydraulic braking systems, internal routing, and the intricate servicing needs associated with performance-focused equipment.
At Artisan Cycle Workshop, it's quality over quantity. We are not designed to maximize the number of bikes in the workshop; rather, I intentionally maintain a manageable number of bookings to ensure that each bike, including those from Leighton Buzzard, Dunstable and surrounding areas, receives the dedicated care it deserves. Each bike repair begins with a thorough inspection, and if any additional work arises, I’ll communicate with you before moving forward. My service packages are tailored to your bike's specific requirements and never include unnecessary work solely to inflate the bill. While road, gravel, and TT bikes are my primary focus, I can also accommodate commuter and MTB servicing and repairs when workshop capacity allows.
