Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire.
Independent specialist cycle workshop based in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire, specialising in road, gravel and time-trial bikes.
Artisan Cycle Workshop was founded on a simple idea: do the job properly, rather than simply doing more jobs.
I’m Kyle, a qualified cycle mechanic and the owner of Artisan Cycle Workshop. Before moving into the cycle industry, I spent 13 years as an aircraft engineer in the British Army working on Apache helicopters. That background has shaped the way I approach bike mechanics — with precision, discipline and attention to detail. Today, my main focus is servicing and maintaining road, gravel and time-trial bikes, from everyday performance bikes through to high-end builds and race bikes. I regularly work with modern electronic group sets, hydraulic braking systems, internal routing, aero/TT bikes and the more complex servicing requirements that come with performance-focused equipment.
Quality over quantity
Artisan isn’t built around getting as many bikes through the workshop as possible. I deliberately keep the number of bookings manageable so that each bike gets the time and attention it deserves. Every service starts with a proper inspection, and if additional work is needed, I’ll discuss it with you before carrying it out. My service packages are designed around the work your bike actually needs, rather than adding unnecessary work simply to increase the bill. Road, gravel and TT bikes are my primary focus, but when workshop capacity allows I also take on commuter and MTB servicing and repairs.
Whether you’re preparing for a race, getting your gravel bike ready for winter, or simply want your bike running properly again, the aim is always the same: A bike that’s safe, reliable and performing exactly as it should.
Alongside running Artisan Cycle Workshop, I have also work as a race mechanic, supporting DAS-Hutchinson Women's UCI Continental Team throughout the 2026 domestic racing season. This has given me valuable experience working in a fast-paced race environment, where preparation, reliability and attention to detail are essential.
I’m also proud to be part of Team UK’s cycling support team for the 2027 Invictus Games in Birmingham, building on my own experience as an Invictus Games competitor and combining my mechanical and coaching experience to support the next generation of Team UK Competitors on there recovery journeys.

Additional work: Artisan Cycle Workshop will always discuss and agree additional work before proceeding. Replacement parts and specialist repairs are not included unless specifically stated.
